Ether 5 play progressive, bass driven hard rock.

Ether 5 is a four piece band, originally formed in early 2006. It is the brain child of Daniel Christie and Andrew Budby, who were later joined by Jamie Mooney (The Creeks) and Andrew Candlish (Die Besties).

The band went through a series of major changes in 2008. Oli Jenkins joined the band on bass guitar and Chris Dawkins (Nightmares on Wax) joined the band briefly on lead guitar. By the end of 2008, Ether 5 had recruited a new lead guitarist, Leon Spencer.

The band recorded their second demo in the summer of 2009. It featured Martyn Spencer on rhythm guitar, who would later fill Leon’s boots as the new lead guitarist.
